Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math was established by Adi Jagadguru
Sri Shivarathreeshwara Bhagawathpadaru, at Suttur, in Nanjangud
Taluk of Mysore district, during the second half of tenth
century.
Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Maha
Swamigalavaru, the 23rd pontiff of Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana
Math was the architect and founder of J.S.S. Mahavidhyapeetha,
which was established in the year 1954. His successor Jagadguru
Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji is the present and
the 24th pontiff of Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math and also is
the President of J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha. In the last few years
several institutions have shown rapid progress due to His
blessings, personal involvement and immense support and
guidance. His Holiness has remained a guiding force for us in
building the JSS Dental College & Hospital.
